A campaign to enhance the audience experience

at Baltimore Shakespeare Factory

We heard you, Baltimore! 

 

You, our audience, have proven that you love Shakespeare’s language just as much as we do. Now we want to make it easier for you to enjoy it at our performances. 

 

Our audience surveys indicate that you connect with our style and approach, but the challenging acoustics of the St. Mary’s space make it hard for you to hear the actors (especially in the warmer months when the air conditioner is running). 

 

Together, we can do something about it. With the help of acoustic professionals, BSF will implement multi-point solutions that will transform the way you hear our productions while maintaining the beauty and architectural style of our theater home.  

 

Over the course of the next year and a half, we will raise funds to complete two project phases:

 

  1. Acoustic studies and digital measurements of the space, followed by reviewing design options. 

  2. Fabrication and installation of acoustic panels and HVAC solutions.
