We're Back for Summer 2022!

 

“All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players.”
As You Like It, Act 2 Scene 7

But we can’t expect you to go all the way to the Forest of Arden for some Shakespeare this summer!  Join us instead at BSF Radio for our Radio Shakespeare Virtual Summer Camp, running from July 25th to July 29th.  Our Teaching Artists will lead students through an exploration of As You Like It, Shakespeare’s pastoral comedy about romance and finding one’s true self, through the lens of a classic 1940s radio drama.  

From the comfort of your own home, your students will learn about the history of radio dramas and explore the fun of creating sound effects with common household items.  At the end of the week, the students will present their radio drama version of the play as a culmination of their hard work!

Since all the world is a stage, your child can bring Shakespeare to you this summer with our exciting summer camp opportunity!

Radio Shakespeare will remain a digital experience this year. We hope to return live and in person to the beautiful Kestrel Stage Summer of 2023.

As You Like It Radio Shakespeare will run from July 25-29, 1:00-4:00 PM EST.
Registration fee is $100 per student.

Radio Shakespeare: As You Like It will run daily Monday-Friday starting July 25 and concluding July 29. The finished product will be broadcast (by invitation only) at 4pm on the final day of camp, Friday, July 29th. A recording (absent identifying information of your student) will be viewable on Baltimore Shakespeare Factory's YouTube page for friends and family who can not attend the live broadcast.
